Work history
Led a 6-person squad rebuilding the payouts pipeline; cut settlement latency from hours to under a minute and took the ledger to 4k events/sec with zero-loss replay.
Owned the routing and dispatch services for a fleet-management product used across three markets; introduced the on-call and observability practice the team still runs on.
Shipped client web apps end-to-end across a dozen engagements — the range that made him comfortable dropping into an unfamiliar codebase fast.
AI interview
You're handling 4,000 payment webhooks a second and the downstream ledger is now the bottleneck. Walk me through how you keep writes consistent without dropping events.
First I'd stop treating the ledger as the thing the webhook waits on. I'd land each event on an append-only queue keyed by idempotency ID, ack the webhook immediately, then drain into the ledger with a consumer that dedupes on that key. If the ledger falls behind, the queue absorbs it and nothing is lost. The trade-off is eventual consistency on the balance read, so I'd expose a “pending” state rather than pretend it's settled…
Good. What breaks if two consumers pick up the same key?
A conditional write — insert on the idempotency key with a unique constraint, second writer gets a conflict and drops it. The ledger stays the source of truth; the queue is just delivery.

Reads as a high-ownership lead who defaults to collaboration and stays effective when requirements are loose — a fit for teams that need someone to take a vague brief and drive it.
