Fulton, an insole company, faced significant challenges with their custom Shopify theme. Previous attempts to make changes with various developers proved difficult due to the theme's complexity, making editing a "scary" prospect. Critically, a slow-loading 3D spinning insole at the top of their website crushed conversion rates, as visitors encountered a blank screen on slower connections. Fulton sought assistance from Storetasker to address these website performance issues. They provided a wireframe for a revised hero module to Erin, a Storetasker developer, explaining their requirements via email. Erin quickly provided a quote and efficiently implemented the necessary changes to the website within days. The quality and speed of Erin's work were astounding, especially given previous difficulties with other developers and the theme's complexity. As a direct result of these optimizations, Fulton saw a "very significant improvement" in their conversion rate. Specifically, they achieved "almost a 100% improvement" in their conversion rate, effectively resolving the performance issue.

Studio McGee faced an urgent challenge when their in-house employee, responsible for Shopify POS setup, departed just six weeks before their first retail store's grand opening. This sudden departure created a critical gap in configuration, testing, and launch readiness. The team needed an expert who could integrate immediately and ensure a fully operational POS system by the tight deadline, without extensive onboarding or hand-holding. To address this, Storetasker matched Studio McGee with Sarah Ramanuj, an experienced eCommerce operations expert. Sarah proposed a fixed-fee engagement, allowing her to operate as an embedded team member and adapt to shifting priorities. She immediately stepped in, completed all outstanding POS setup and configuration tasks, and conducted thorough testing. Her approach ensured the system's readiness ahead of the critical launch. Sarah successfully delivered a fully configured and tested Shopify POS system, ready for store associate training on schedule. This crucial support filled the six-week gap without disrupting the store's planned launch timeline. The fractional expertise allowed Studio McGee's internal team to remain focused on broader launch priorities. The engagement demonstrated the significant speed-to-value achievable when leveraging external expertise for critical, time-sensitive needs.

Octa Nutrition, a new performance nutrition brand, needed complete brand development, including logo and packaging design, on a tight timeline for their January launch. They lacked the in-house design expertise and found traditional agencies too expensive and slow for a startup managing cash carefully. This posed a significant risk of missing their launch window or going to market with inadequate branding in a highly competitive supplement space. Storetasker matched Octa with Nancy Poller, a brand designer specializing in consumer packaged goods and e-commerce. Nancy developed a comprehensive brand identity, including mood boards, a custom logo system, and full brand guidelines. She also designed label systems for three initial products, coordinated with manufacturers on technical specifications, and created various brand assets for digital and print use. The collaboration delivered a complete brand identity system, supporting a multi-channel launch across DTC, retail, Amazon, and TikTok. It also established a scalable packaging design system capable of accommodating 10-15 planned products with multiple flavors each. This distinct visual identity enabled the brand to launch on schedule despite compressed timelines from manufacturing setbacks and positioned Octa for future retailer conversations and athlete partnerships.

This involved providing strategic recommendations, including wireframing key pages, and delivering ongoing optimization support through A/B testing and UX consulting. Specific implementations included redesigning the mobile PDP image gallery, updating the collection page layout, and optimizing the homepage hero section. The optimization efforts yielded significant results across the website. Mobile PDP image gallery optimization led to a 26.7% RPV increase. A collection page redesign resulted in a 20.2% RPV and a 17% Subscription CVR boost.
