The challenge was to design modern and functional interior spaces for a student residence building that can accommodate about 250 people in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The building consisted of 8 floors, but the requirement was to design only 3 of these floors. This involved creating spaces that cater to students' needs for studying, recreation, and community interaction. To address the challenge, a professional interior designer was sought to creatively design three specific floors: the ground floor, the first basement, and the second basement. The design had to include essential facilities like a gym, a spacious seating area, an extensive library with individual workstations, a meeting room for 12 people, study tables, a dining hall, and an amphitheater with a large seating capacity. The style was to be professional and contemporary to foster an inviting and dynamic student environment. The result was a thoughtfully designed student residence space that maximized functionality and modern aesthetics. It featured multi-use areas that accommodated various student activities and interactions, meeting the needs and preferences of the student community. The entire design was tailored to enhance the living and learning experience of its residents, making effective use of the available space.
